After struggling with the early phases of her ARE journey, Layla discovered the power of structured study and community. Joining the ARE Bootcamp gave her the clarity, resources, and motivation she needed. Through consistent practice—often with a dedicated study partner—Layla transformed setbacks into opportunities for growth, ultimately achieving licensing success.

Layla has since channeled her experiences into helping others. Working closely with the YA Team, she played a pivotal role in creating impactful courses like Building Codes 101 and PA 101 on the Young Architect Academy. These courses simplify complex topics, making them accessible and manageable, even for those new to the process.

In this podcast episode, Layla shares why running your own race matters so much in the world of architect licensing and offers practical advice on embracing failure, staying persistent, and focusing on becoming a great architect.
