Benny – Building Systems Virtual Tutor
I’m thrilled to introduce you to Benny Schematic, your Virtual Tutor for the Technical ARE Bootcamp! Benny is here to help you dive deep into Building Systems for Weeks 3, 4, and 5:
- Mechanical and HVAC Systems
- Electrical Systems
- Plumbing Systems
- Acoustics, Elevators, and Security
Here’s how you can team up with Benny to supercharge your studies:
- Ask Questions – Confused about ducts, wiring, or water pressure? Benny’s got your back! He can break down even the trickiest concepts step-by-step.
- Practice with Quizzes – Let Benny test your knowledge with customized quizzes. It’s a great way to solidify what you’ve learned and identify areas to revisit. If you find his questions are too easy, let him know!
- Play a Game – Want to keep it fun? Benny can challenge you with games or puzzles to deepen your understanding while keeping things lighthearted (he’s got plenty of dad jokes to share, too!).
- Teach Back the Content – One of the best ways to learn is to teach. Try explaining what you’ve learned to Benny—he’ll let you know if there’s anything to add or adjust!
That said, Benny does have a few limitations to keep in mind:
- He only knows Building Systems – Benny is laser-focused on building systems. For other ARE topics, you’ll need to consult other resources.
- He doesn’t create diagrams – While Benny can describe systems in detail, he’s not able to generate or provide visual diagrams.
- Triple-check his math – Benny can help with calculations, but we recommend verifying his work to ensure accuracy.
Despite these limitations, Benny is still an incredibly powerful tool for helping you crush the technical aspects of the exam. The more you engage with him, the more helpful he’ll be!
